I picked up my new 2023 Hybrid XLT Luxury truck yesterday, it is absolutely identical to my 2022.

While it never bothered me at all with my 2022, the tailgate level and cable 'issue' has been addressed on my '23. The tailgate is completely level and both cables equally tight with no load on the gate....

Oh, LOL, I noticed this week that the tailgate on my new TRX (MSRP ~4x the Maverick) while it sits level, one cable is much looser than the other w/o weight on the tailgate, just like my '22 Maverick. So the cable 'issue' is not limited to Ford or Mavericks. Again, zero concern for me.

good luck...

Wow. Cool vehicle collection! Very different trucks, TRX vs. Maverick...
Of all your vehicles, which is your favorite?

I can drive the new 700+ HP TRX for 2 hours, come home and jump in the Hybrid Maverick and I enjoy it just as much, only in a different way.
