I'm nearly done with the install of a Demco baseplate on my 2024 Lariat Hybrid. Everything is going smoothly, especially with BradnChristine's helpful posts. But since Demco doesn't provide a good mounting solution for the 6-pin connection to my RV, I'm looking for suggestions especially with pictures. If you have installed the Demco baseplate and the 6-pin connector and brake-away switch, I'd appreciate your help.

I used a smaller plate from Amazon...less than $10. I mounted it hole-side up (as opposed to hanging down) and the flat metal lip us forward and tucked into the grill slot (Lariat). It is held there with 3m VHB tape, and I hold the sides of it when I push in the plug. Pulling out the plug is easy, as the lip holds it from pulling out.

When I put the 6-pin in, I had already wired the taillights and had brought the wires forward. I terminated the light wires and the charge wire into a 4-pin plug (the lights and ground) and 1/2 of a 2-pin plug, terminated to the right of the 6-pin. Then I took the rubber boot that came wit the 6-pin socket and cut it down. I made the wires bent and come out the right side of the back of the socket at a 90 degree angle. Then i taped the rubber over the back of the socket to keep it all from rubbing anything...and then I connected the plugs. Here's the end result. Demco was ZERO help in how to do this...we are on our own.
