Delivery delay notice from Ford after shipment

My 2.0 Lariat was shipped supposedly on October 9 with projected delivery of November 9. I received the following email this morning: “To ensure your complete satisfaction, we will require additional time before your 2022 Maverick LARIAT is delivered to Leith Ford. Your vehicle’s previous estimated delivery range of November 3, 2021, and November 9, 2021, has been updated to between December 6, 2021, and December 12, 2021.” I would like to know if others are experiencing the same thing. I can speculate all day as to what happened to cause the delay.

I'm curious does you window sticker still look normal? On the inventory tracker there has been a few going to dealers around me with this.

There's really no rhyme or reason to shipping and dates, maybe due to labor and staff shortages -- but I'm speculating as well. I bought my truck from a dealer on 10/20 while it was still in transit from the factory. Because of this I didn't received any emails from Ford about it because I didn't actually order it, my dealer did. The original arrival dates were between 10/27 and 11/2, but it never arrived. On 11/3, the estimated arrival date on Ford's order tracker page changed to 11/13. On 11/4 I received a call from my dealer telling me that "it will be here tomorrow".

There are quite a few other posts on this forum where people received their truck a week or two before the estimated arrival date.

Although, the post by @Portcqb that came in while I was typing this with the DO NOT SHIP on the window sticker has me curious and a little concerned. Are they putting this on customer ordered trucks, or have they found something wrong...

While I don't know exactly what's going on, since Ford has still not sent me a SINGLE email about my order, but per the tracker, my EB Lariat has been being built for over a month now. Definitely something up with some of us.

Mine just disappeared this morning, estimated delivery 11-4 to 11-10, checked the tracker this morning and it says my vin or order number is not valid. So I texted the sales person, he said it's no longer showing up in his system and he will have to ask the manager. Before this on their system it showed it arrived in Atlanta by rail on 10-23. So I don't know what's going on.

These responses are making me nervous.

I opened my window sticker again and it has a date of 11/10 on the white border on the bottom. My ETA hasn't changed, though.

Hmm this is slightly more worrisome was thinking holds could be they need radios swapped out to fix the lockup and lagging issue they have, but that would be fixable at dealer. Holds with tracking disappearing may mean they need to go somewhere for inspection or tweak like Mach Es that had to go Michigan.

My Lariat is due in West Palm Bch, today, 11/10 but they also said it could be few days either way.
Mine is on a truck, and they have to make other stops on way , so anything can happen to delay, weather etc.
Also, if your truck was damaged they have to tell you, and truck will make it to its destination. Truck will be repaired by your dealership and transport company will pay for it.

Just a update, I just received email from Ford saying my Mav. that was shipped and was suppose to have been delivered to S. Florida on 11/10 is now delayed until 12/20.
The dealer said the truck is in the state, so WTF?
Total BS! inexcusable. They couldn't have told me this weeks earlier?
Gonna start looking elsewhere.

Same Boat Here - My 2.0 XLT was shipped 10/6 with delivery window of 11/3-9. I also received the same email from Ford: Additional time before your 2022 Maverick XLT is delivered to Crossroad Ford. Now the delivery window is 12/6-15. I have called everyone, and don't get any answers.

My truck went into production on 11/10. I just tried both MTC's tracker and Ford's tracker and I cannot get the window sticker to come up. I have been able to see it everyday since 11/11. Perhaps they are updating their systems...

2 ETA delivery 2 after email 11.23-11.29
3 ETA dilvery 3 w/ no email 12.13
Told by dealer sitting in town 20 mins from me and Ford won't release it.

How about this?

I had an ETA of 11/25 for a month. Ford tracker was only showing in production for that entire time. 11/19, I got an email that it was built and the next day, I got an email that it was shipped. I never received an email talking about delayed order or delayed ETA…..but my delivery date went from 11/25 to 12/17 with no notice. Sad day.
