2024 here, no issues.

Ordered the recommended OBDLinkEX off Amazon and had no trouble jumping right in with the simpler stuff.

Wondering if anyone has tried putting Sport mode on a Tremor even though I know that’s not what it’s for but mine makes some extra ponies and it’s fun to drive on the street as well as dirt and snow

What are all the modes 11 12 13 etc? If those are enabled are those even more configured drive modes

Just letting you all know I have tested out using forscan of 3 different 2024 mavericks. An XL, XLT and Lariat. It works for all three. I own a 2024 XL and it works great. I am not sure why people are so sure that it doesn't work for the 2024s. Maybe they need to update their forscan software?

I added Eco and Sport mode. Sport mode has been fun. Has a different/deeper sound to the engine inside the cabin. Almost V8ish, but maybe that's piped in through the speakers like Tundras do to make their V6's sound like a V8. Has more pep, holds shift points longer if you get on it. I've enjoyed it.

Is yours a Tremor? That’s my question. Yeah, I know all about what Sport Mode does because I have an Expedition Timberline with Sport Mode and other Modes but for some reason they left it off the Maverick Tremor and replaced with Sand Mode. Thanks

Not sure, there are like 30+ modes I think the majority are just empty place holders.
Also, there seems to be a discrepancy between some of the older guides and what Forscan's easy mode has labeled.

e.g. In my 2024 screenshot
Mode 2 = Sport
Mode 4 = Eco
Where this old post from 2022 mentions Mode 11 as Sport. I went with what Forscan said and it was correct on my 24 FX4.

Yea, there are quite a few threads, some a few years old now too.
I honestly read everything and watched a handful of the videos linked as well just so I could be comfortable prior to messing with anything.

The Forscan sub-forum has some great threads pinned at the top.

If you check the one with the "masterlist" there is also this Google doc link that is pretty good.

I will say the one thing that had me puzzled for a bit was people talking about "DTC codes" and how to check/clear them. Well turns out that is the second tab down and you can check and clear codes there.

If you manage a fleet, staying on top of any engine or other vehicle issues is critical for the safety of your drivers. It also helps prevent more costly repairs.
This is where Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) come in — codes that a vehicle’s onboard computer relays about any potential issues.

Also, here is a quick video of what it looks like after adding Eco and Sport to my FX4. I didn't show it, but I still have Mud and Sand available as well right after Sport.

Also I will add one last thing because I think it is important. My Windows 11 laptop automatically installed drivers for the OBDLinkEX, however I manually updated the firmware to the latest as a few other threads have mentioned. Highly suggest you do this first before even plugging it into your truck. Use your computer, plug the USB side into computer and update the firmware as instructed with the below link.
