Yeah yeah the truck, the deer we get all that. Bad that happen. It's good that you're okay.

Let's get back on course.
'two hotties I came up on skinny dipping in the Occoee river.'
Skinny dipping hotties you say?
You know the saying.
Pictures or didn't happen.
I was not gonna pull out my phone and become a dweeb and take pictures !

Skinny dipping, a tradition !
I skinny dip in that river too.
It’s a respect thing.

I was doing the speed limit coming out of the Occoee white water basin. I went there to ride my Rambler All Terrain Tadpole trike up the Big Frog access road.
A gain of 730 ft in altitude spread over 2.1 miles on the roughest gravel with boulders not maintained 4x4 only road you ever saw.

Yeah I’m comfortable in the hurt locker.
The down hill run on the return is shear terror.
I love it so.

65 mph,
Pink Floyd, Great Gig In the Sky playing on the B&O. I was thinking about the two hotties I came up on skinny dipping in the Occoee river.

BAM,
I center punched the girl killing her instantly.
She shot forward and I hit the throttle full power.
To maintain my momentum In the direction of the road.
Getting knocked of course at those speeds can be deadly.

I ran over her dead ass. It was like hitting soft speed bumps.
I am so glad I had a 121 inch wheel base vehicle around me.
I looked in my mirrors and watch her dead ass spin and cartwheel behind me.

All kinds of shit lit up and started singing on the dash.
The hood was up about four inches but holding.
My water temp gage was stable and not rising.

I had a mile and a half to get home. I rolled on at 55 mph. Water temp remained stable, the truck felt fine and I was still showing the normal four temp bars.

My climb up to my house is about 2 10ths of a miles with three switch backs. I rounded the first turn, now my temp gage had five bars.

Rounded turn two, six bars.
Made turn three with all the white bars lit but no red yet.
I parked it and shut her down.

You won’t believe this !
No, Nada, Zip, No paint or sheet metal damage at all.

Go figure.

My rental is an almost new piece of crap
Mitsubishi SUV something.

The AWD and the center lock are complete crapola.
This thing feels, looks, drives like a cheap plastic toy.
And it’s slow.
Hope you had the adjuster out before cleaning it. I hit one on a rainy day and called the insurance right away. They told me not to wash the car but it was raining and all the deer hair was washed off from rain. I thought I was going to have a hassle on getting it fixed under comp (no ins. increase) but when the adjuster popped the hood, it was like the floor of a deer barber shop. Hope your claim goes as smooth as mine ended up going.

Luckily, I was able to hack the omnipresent camera network and pull up a video...

I once saw the results of a deer coming through the windshield, a really bad scene. You are lucky the deer was not full grown. Hope the repairs are 100% right.
And mainly no bodily harm on you.
Deer and motorcycles are not a good mis either.

Sorry about the accident. Glad you are okay. It could have been a lot worse. Thousands die each year from car deer accidents. I believe that number is light and a lot higher when you add those trying to miss the deer losing control of the vehicle and causing an accident or running into something tree, ditch, ravine, etc.

Hope the truck is fixed to your expectations.

Good to hear that you are OK, vehicles can be repaired. One of my best buds had an encounter in central BC with your deers bigger cousin, a Moose. He was driving at night in his Honda Prelude when the big guy came up out of the ditch, went over the hood and caved the windshield down onto the steering wheel. My buddy was sort of OK, his hand on the wheel was injured and he had other minor injuries from getting slammed around. The car? Not so lucky, it was totalled .

Hope your Mav returns to service soon.
