I could care less, once the incomplete parts order went north of $13,000 I lost interest.Did they provide an itemized estimate before totaling? Just curious what the repair costs would have been, per item
25 years ago when I lived in what at that time was a rural county, very low population, a stretch of a US highway had hundreds of deer strikes a year. The county had a public hearing on the problem and a lady got up and said "I notice there are many deer crossing signs along this stretch of road. Perhaps we could have the deer crossings on the less traveled side roads." Even the county supervisors broke out in laughter. Poor woman turned red and walked out.I have had a few deer hits over the years. As far as i am concerned they are overgrown rats. PA. has the second or third most deer strikes in the nation. The state needs to at least quadruple the length of the hunting season.
That is awesome! We always make fun of the signs around here. Sure, the deer only cross here right? LOL Wife and i came home late the other night. We have a long uphill driveway and there was a deer standing in the middle of it. It was the typical "deer in the headlights" reaction. It finally jumped off the driveway onto the hill beside. I drove up slowly and it was hiding in the brush. They really are stupid creatures.25 years ago when I lived in what at that time was a rural county, very low population, a stretch of a US highway had hundreds of deer strikes a year. Ok so,
You bolt that contraption on, then hit something and it crushes your front end about the same as the deer would have.
Why would I think this ?
The Maverick is not a body on frame truck.
And that thing would kill your mileage and likely over time cause problems in the forward unibody box.
Hit a few nasty pot holes and check your hood alignment then get back to us.

They're designed to absorb crash energy so your body doesn't have to.Updated knowledge:
A brush guard attached to the unibody transfers all the impact energy into the unibody. The unibody is designed to absorb impact wth crush regions.
Therefore a brush guard guarantees you total out.
Our Tonka toys are fragile.

Mines worth $32,000, A 2026 brand new never titled is about $41,000 plus Tax Tag and Title.
Call It $45,000
That's a big gap well over $10,000
If I played that game I just lost 30% of my trucks value.
When new I Purchased on my auto Insurance policy a NEW replacement add on that cost me $60 more a year,

I got replacement cost FULL replacement INCLUDING the Triple T
I'm busy tomorrow, but Friday I get to go pick out a NEW never titled Lariat and pay nothing
but my $500 Insurance deductible.
Deer strike, lightening strike, rocks falling off a mountain, All
