Deep Sleep Mode FIXED after 6 weeks! Solution: 12v Battery replacement

I was not able to find any after market battery listed for the Maverick Hybrid.
Ford replaced mine with a Ford Motor Company BXT-99RT4-A shown on my paper work

That is the part # of the one in my 2024 hybrid. New in July, been in deep sleep twice. First time I charged it , it started at 34% or just under 12v. Took awhile to get fully charged. 2nd time just drove it. So that battery is not the whole answer.

You are correct about it not being the whole answer!

That was the first battery that was replaced in 2022.
It took 6 weeks and 3 loaner cars before they figured out that changing the battery would solve the Deep Sleep Mode problem I had right after my puchase.

Since then they have replaced the 12 volt battery 4 times for the same problem in 2 1/2 years.

Just the other day I started getting the Deep Sleep problem again. I have not brought in back in to the dealer yet but I suspect it will be battery number 5.

My Service Advisor said that it takes the day to determine if the battery needs to be replaced because they charge it for 3 hours and then test it. If it fails the test then they replace the battery and perform the reset.

Everyone says they think the Ford batteries are crap!

I just got my truck back from getting a new 12V battery under warranty. I was having the same battery saver issues as everyone else. It would enter battery saver in the app and the cabin dome lights would not turn on. In the most notable instance when it was 52 degrees outside. Last winter they charged the battery, but the issues came back. This winter I insisted they replace it and they did. The dealer replaced it with what the owner's manual says (BXT-99RT4-A. It's a red-labeled Motorcraft MAX 470 CCA). When this thing fails, probably next winter, I'll be out of warranty and have to look at the larger AGM in this video. The battery he replaced in this Escape is exactly the same as the Maverick hybrid's 12V. Thanks for finding that.

When your warranty is up and you are looking for a new 12 volt battery, make sure you are checking the size. The Hybrid Maverick 12 Volt Battery is small in size and only non MotorCrap AGM batteries will work.

I bought the Extended Warranty so I keep getting batteries anytime I need one.

Hopefully the fix for this will be 1st quarter next year.

Moms hybrid just came back from the dealer with this same issue and same response, hopefully early '25 they have a software fix but they did refuse to replace the battery and advised against buying one ourselves saying it'll likely have the same issues.

Has anyone tried fitting a Group 140R AGM battery instead? It's slightly larger (I think about 1/2" taller?) it's a pretty big bump in power though.
