Fix this FORD!!!! I’ve had my 2022 since October of 2021 and while better after software updates, is still my ONLY issue with my truck.

I'd like to add additional datapoints here.

2022 Hybrid XLT. I've had it for 1.5 years. The bluetooth drop has happened since day one. I've tried disconnecting, reconnecting, deleting the connection, Sync3 updates, everything.

It's remarkably inconsistent on timing except that it happens within 2-10 minutes after bluetooth connection. Doesn't matter if I'm leaving from home, from work, the gym, wherever.

If the bluetooth connects and I don't play music, it never drops the connection. It's only when music is being played.

Sometimes it will reconnect. Other times it won't and switches to radio.

When the re-connection is successful, the audio app is now that many seconds ahead. That is, if the song being played is dropped at a play time of 2:00, and it takes 30 seconds to reconnect, the audio begins playing again at 2:30. It's like the truck never told the phone that the connection ended.

This has occurred with both my iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.

I already took it into the dealership once and they "verified the issue and tried to fix." Glad they verified but whatever fix was employed didn't work.

I have a cheap bluetooth dongle for my Tacoma. It never drops the connection, ever.

For the Apple Car Play/hardwire advocates, Apple Car Play actually froze on the Maverick screen the other day. I had to turn off the truck and turn back on to get it to cooperate.

Also, I don't like how the iPhone GPS is always running when using Car Play. I don't like how it makes the iPhone get all hot, either. So there are legitimate reasons to not use a cable.

Plus, I'd expect a truck with built in bluetooth to work marginally better than a $10 bluetooth dongle from Amazon.
