I figured I would share some thoughts on dealing with Ford Corporate in regards to ongoing issues with my Mav. Unfortunately other than wasting a bit of my time, they really weren’t able to resolve any issues. I was contacted by them after making a post regarding some interior rattles and a rubbing noise. The rubbing noise ended up being the rear differential needed replacing. Since the dealer left some hardware loose, the vehicle had to be returned again since it would grind horribly when accelerating, after the diff was replaced. This was after the same dealership did some damage to the interior of my truck since my drivers seat frame needed replacement (it wobbled on the tracks). Now I won’t comment on the dealership since I am still waiting on that issue to come to a resolution, I want to give them a chance to correct their mistake.

After over a month of dealing with Ford corporate, they told me they have nothing to offer and that I should find a new dealership for repairs. No s**t Sherlock 😂 I’m trying to get my current dealership to right their wrong first before I go elsewhere. The gentleman I was working with at Ford was very friendly, and I have no doubt he did what he could within his parameters. Basically it sounded like unless they have a special offer currently available, they won’t really do much for you except help you find a dealership 🙄. Which ultimately to me wasn’t great customer service. Now I understand that they can’t give away the farm to everyone that has a complaint, but having major drivetrain components fail at 19k miles isn’t good advertising either. I’m currently a little over 25k miles hoping that nothing else major happens.

Anyways venting over, I just wanted to share those thoughts now that my case is closed with Ford. They will likely only help you find a dealership to get it serviced at, was my experience. I still have ongoing issues that I will just pay to have diagnosed and resolved elsewhere, by a mechanic I already trust. I hope others have better luck in dealing with corporate
