Dealing with Dealers...

Being the first new order in the system isn't as important as you think. You'll still have all the leftover MY22 orders ahead of you for one thing, but more importantly, you and everybody else will still be dealing with constrained items and all the weird stuff Ford does to the ordering system. Ford just might decide not to build any trucks in your favorite color until the second full moon in February and they won't bother telling you or the dealer about it so you could change your order before you get a VIN number. Submit your order as soon as you can, cross your fingers, and wait in line with all the rest of us.

Do the dealers actually place the order when you talk to them or do they just take you info and submit it to Ford at a later time? I imagine they will all be busy on the 2nd.
