Dealership information please

I ordered a Hybrid Maverick and getting all the 45 to 56 day notices. I have also called Ford verifying my order. Please, not for discussion, but I would just like an answer how the dealership works. My dealership says they have nothing to do with my order and I will hear from Ford for everything. I read things about dealerships giving priority on orders etc.? Please, only answer if you know for sure. If I am going to my dealership, I want to have solid information. Thank you!

The dealership can set priority from 10-19, but that only affects priority within their placed orders. Even then Ford's commodity constraints, allocations, and scheduling logic which is mostly opaque holds ultimate factor.

It pretty much comes down to what ALLOCATIONS your dealer has available. There are many threads on this forum about this. The readers digest version is: there is not much rhyme or reason to how ford picks what trucks to build. Just make sure that your order is clean (no constraint options) and your chances are about as good as anyone else on here to get scheduled.

I know of one dealership whose monthly allocations tripled from previous months. I would think that indicates most dealerships will have increased allocations going forward. But yes allocations are the biggest factor.

The only contact I had with my dealership was when I placed my order with them and 7 months later when they called and told me the truck had arrived and ask me when I wanted to pick it up. I didn't bug them during my 7 months wait and I just relied on the e-mails from Ford to follow the progress of my build.
