Dealer scratched my tint!

Took my Maverick in for some various rattles throughout the car. The tech had to drop the headliner and in the process of doing so, scratched my brand new Nano Ceramic tint on the rear windshield! It’s scratched in a few other spots too but camera can’t pick it up. Will be calling dealership to complain tomorrow when they open up. I don’t see any good way of repairing it. Was washing the rear window today and noticed it.

Sounds like dealer needs to pay for a re-tint. We had a dealer scratch our leather steering wheel in a brand new car (500 miles) once. Don't back down. You can't "repair" that.

Hopefully they don’t pull the “well you should have told us before you drove off” crap. It was a heavy windstorm in SoCal that day and I don’t think anyone inspects every square inch of their car before driving off.

Did you sign a work order when you dropped off the truck ? Usually this includes a liability waiver which they would more than likely say they had to drop the headliner and the window tint is aftermarket .....

Yea don’t back down. Show them your receipt for the tint and you want it replaced.

Thats why I hate to bring the Maverick in for service. Never know what may happen.
