The link is good but also can mislead a person. In Illinois, the tints listed are OK for cars, but you have to drill down farther to find that pickups are classed as multi-purpose vehicles. As such, the front-side window limit for cars is 35% and for trucks is 50%.

According to the International Window Film Association:
"**Pick-Up Trucks are not considered MPV's"

In fact, I even used their interactive tint law selector to select your state (Illinois) and there was no difference in applicable law between the "car" and "multi-purpose vehicle" options.

This thread is old, but if someone comes around looking for relevant laws (as I was) they shouldn't arrive here just to be mislead by erroneous information.
