Dealer said order is locked in.

Anybody run into this.
Dealer said order is locked in. I was unable to add to the order, this was Iin Nov 22.
Any time frame from being locked in to being scheduled?

Do you have a vin? Once you get a VIN you can no longer change the order. IIRC you could never switch from hybrid to eco or from one trim level to another - xl xlt lariat.

You can switch from hybrid to Ecoboost, and I think at that time change trim. You cannot change otherwise on trim or engine. You can make changes to packages and options up until getting a VIN.

I wanted to add the Black out package but that was the answer I was given when I requested the add on.
I do not have a Vin yet either.
All I have is a tracking number

Umm, doesn't the fact you have a tracking number mean it is already built?

If the dealer cannot make changes it might already be in production.

Did Ford Email you and give you a VIN# and schedule a production week? If not you should be able to change an option if it is allowable to that trim. I was only allowed to change a color once the vehicle was scheduled. What's the tracking number for? You said you didn't receive a vin right?

I received Order Varification Program tracking number. It Says under review.
No schedule date no Vin, and no changes can be made. .

I know that at some point along the line those decisions are moved from the dealers hands to the regional district. Some dealers will put in the effort to ask the district to allow a change, other's wont. That may be the issue.

That happen to me. Turns out my Maverick was already built, just waiting on EPA numbers to be sold to me. Mine was built late October 21. Scheduled before Christmas but ended up January. They couldn’t pull up my ‘order’ which was scary.

Once they start looking at it they lock it. Cheer up, it might mean your truck is about to go into production. Call Ford and ask.

I think you mean Customer Order Verification Program (COVP) which is not a tracking number. This is merely what ties the truck order to your name. It also is "supposed" to prevent the dealership from selling it out from under you.. ymmv... as it has for many.
If your truck isn't picked for scheduling and is merely under review it may drop back to unscheduled which "should" allow you to make some changes to options. Keep on your dealer, so many are not that helpful....

Have you called Ford to see if they have your order? Did you receive a order confirmation email from Ford?

I did the chat with ford maybe I will call next.

I also email the dealer occasionally for updates aswell.

Are you in Canada, if so where? FYI, in Canada we don't receive updates for Ford Canada, just from the dealer, supposedly...
