They still make it sound like Ford will be sending you a check, which isn't true. (Unless they mean that they are waiting for the funds from Ford for the price protection...which won't be by "check").

I’ve been waiting 10 weeks so far for my refund
Got a call this morning from dealer that they have the price protection check for me. Took one week shy of 3 months.

I wouldn't resign the contract. You contract says if the financing falls through you need to return it. It has not per your comments. You have an account and a payment date. Pay on your vehicle with Ford Credit. You don't need to have any more dealings with the dealership. They can work out their issue with Ford or else eat it.
