Nice find, never seen that. One is a horsepower gauge that goes up to about 240hp where it says "18", more than a hybrid can produce, the other is a more intuitive gauge showing when you're in regen vs max throttle.

2.0 should have regular tach though, not a power gauge.

Edit: Ah, here's the full thing, yup US and Canada get different gauges. Too bad, I like the Canada style personally.

My iPad has an option on how to display remaining battery power as a percentage. I like that. Don’t need to know voltage, wattage, etc.
Why can’t I have the same in my truck?

The battery is super tiny on the Maverick, only 1.1kwh IIRC, and its constantly being charged and discharged, so its capacity isn't that important to know IMO.

The gauges also aren't showing anything about the battery, on the American basic small screen XL/XLT version its showing whether you're in regen mode or power mode, and if in power mode approximately how much combined horsepower (but measured in kilowatts) the system is producing. Its a 191hp combined system, so that gauge isn't going to go above ~14, no clue why they make it go so much higher just like the speedo that goes up to 140mph for no good reason.

The Canada one (and US Lariat big screen one) are expressing the power instead of an absolute number in KW as a percentage of the total its capable of.

So both are basically going to work the same, but I like the simplified view of knowing "I'm giving her all she's got captain" of 100% rather than having to remember that the gauge goes up to 14 as its max. Both are fine, its just personal preference.

I’m with you on this. I’m hoping the KW gauge shown is pre-production; I would much rather have a % gauge.

The first guage was from early production models. Everything I see on the new ones is the lower one. I found that first one on ford's first announcement video in June. The last one is on the newer mpgs hybrid leak vid on this forum.

Ford's KW markings are kind of wonky in my experience. My Fusion says it's KW however no numbers for how many it's indicating. Switching modes moves those markings around but the bar doesn't really change. So it's more a throttle gauge than anything.

Sounds like on the Hybrid Maverick the EV Coach on the display is the one to care about and the gauge itself is mostly just ancillary. I have some ideas for hooking up a mini camera to possibly display it closer to line of vision like a HUD so I don't need to glance down at the dash as much.
