"Dasher" dashboard insert

So I've been trying to figure out how I could cast a plug that would fit within the odd-shaped dash recess, I need a flat surface to mount my Garmin GPS clip-in mount to. Has anybody tried one of these yet, any idea what the bottom side looks like?
