The topper might be from an F-150 stepside. I know the Sport Trac tailgate was the same as the F-150 stepside. The Sport Trac is approximately the same width as the Maverick.
Nice re-use adaptation.
Could be. When I picked it up I was told S10 Stepside, but because I've been watching Marketplace so much for toppers to try to find a back window I've seen in all my looking for a replacement back window it seems my cap was closer to a Ranger than an S10. Id definitely worked out well for me though.

I can now confirm that truck bed coating will hide some very minor defects, and I’m way happier now that the ugly parts of the cap have been cleaned up. I also got lucky that the roof basket I bought fits pretty much perfectly, I need to plan a mounting option without needing a roof rack. Still need to seal up the windows and the hatch needs some work, but I’m getting very close to being ready for a test run camping trip.

I only camp because it gets me closer to fishing spots, and I don't sleep well in a tent because I always think I'm going to get attacked in my sleep by venomous raccoons or something (we don't really have any animals to worry about on the east coast but that doesn't stop me from sleeping poorly). So the cap should make for better trips and was worth the effort for me.

Including the time involved in learning how to fiberglass (I still have very little clue) I probably have 30 hours into it so far, lots of fiddling trying to get the shape right. It was a fun project to mess with over the winter.
Amazing ingenuity . For us DIY’rs we (I at least) don’t look at the time as an expense. It’s an experience.

I personally would not go the route you took. I’m to old and full of physical problems. Good job though.

Here is my 2025 XLT with it’s LEER topper.
