FYI; CR seems to like the 22 MAV (78 for 2.0 & 80 for 2.5). There seems to be differences between Mav owner's responses to CR and their comments in this forum. i.e. Satisfaction for 2.0 is better than ave. and much better for 2.5. Would seem to me that satisfied Mav owners are underrepresented in this forum. (could also be that unsatisfied owners are underreported in CR, but I doubt that). Also, of interest are CR's ratings for the 2.5 (not given for 2.0) are all "much better" than ave. except for Overall (better), Brakes(ave.), Paint/Trim(worse), Noises/Leaks(much worse), Predictions for 2023 (ave.). Also seems odd that In-car electronics is rated much better. Some on this forum do not like CR's car ratings. I have found that CR generally gets the big issues correct; however, for cars it can take several years for all issues to develop. Therefore, suggest as always "let the buyer beware"! LOL

There are a ton of Hybrid owners on this forum who are satisfied.

But it's a forum. And one of the things that drives people to a site like this for any vehicle is when they have problems. They're going to post a lot, because they're either trying to diagnose an issue or just need a place to vent to folks who can relate. People who show up here either love their truck or are incredibly frustrated with their truck (and maybe some folks who are both).

It'll never be representative of owners as a whole.

In Dec '22 Cons Reports named the Maverick as a "recommended" vehicle btw--

What I found of significance was not just that CR recommended the 22 Mav; but rather that CR found that 22 Mav owners gave very high marks across the board. It is very rare for a new vehicle to have these kinds of ratings. Time will tell if owners will continue to rate the 22 Mav so high. Also CR may provide a more complete picture than can be formed my reading individual posts on this forum. This is what I was trying to convey, apparently very badly. LOL
