Since we're discussing extended warranties, I was quoted on a warranty from my dealer (doing all my homework before delivery of my Mav hopefully next week), and she recommended a warranty through Old Republic and she quoted it almost half the cost of a Ford Protect PremiumCare plan for the same coverage (OR Supreme). Has anyone had experience with OR (preferably in Canada, as that's where I am), and/or whether I'm getting a useless plan? Thanks in advance!
I got the Ford PremiumCare for under $1700 USD 10yr/100k through Granger Ford. So I'm not sure how that compares to Old Republic or if you can get a warranty through Granger being in Canada.

My Mav is the first time I purchased an ESP on any vehicle. I use to put money in a "maintenance" account. If I didn't use that money, I either used it for a down payment next vehicle or new guitar gear ;). Downfall, it was easy to pull money out when not for the purpose of maintenance. The 1700 is a lot less than the 4-5k I would try to put aside.

ESP's are like blackjack, the odds are in the dealers favor. In the end there is a high chance I will not use my ESP. For the price I can take the chance. Will hit 100k before the 10 year.

FWIW I paid cash and did not finance my ESP or my wifes (also has a Mav).
