Cold Start Issues

Help needed...its been nice and cold here in Jersey.
Hybrid ran fine on Saturday. Snow came Sunday and when I went to start the truck, all kinds of alerts popped up then battery died. Installed a new battery and truck still dead. Only when connected thru cables to another car does it get power but still wont turn over and still loaded with alerts.

Disconnect and reconnect negative lead on battery and try again. Recommend a battery check and a using a battery tender, upgrade to AGM if a new battery is warranted and you haven't already. Cold doesn't harm batteries, but it will reveal when they're weak.

loose grounds in cold weather. my time in Alaska the engine grounds would end up loose from the cold and engines would not start.
also a thread showing buss under fuse box shows corrosion. he took volt reading at the battery (correct)then at fuse box that volt reading was low.

Amazing what a little cold will do to contacts. In a Manhattan apartment I had a leak where the toilet tank attaches to the supply line. Cause... cold tap water.

22MY - did you have recall regarding the 12V battery strap?

Here's the latest on what is happening with my Maverick...and NONE of us would have guessed this one.
Apparently squirrels climbed into the engine bay on a frigid cold night and had a little chewing party. They chewed thru every wire they could get their little teeth on AND some of the firewall as well.
