I had the CEL and wrench come on the other day with code P25B4 wastegate stuck closed, and the truck is also in limp mode. I see a lot of people have had the wastegate actuator replaced, which I plan to do myself to see if it fixes the problem before going down the turbo replacement route. The question is, can anyone confirm if the PCM needs to be reprogrammed once the new actuator is installed?

TIA

You would need to clear the code & reset KAM

Perfect, Thanks.

Have you done one before? Location looks like a pain. Waiting for the part to arrive, then I will start to tackle this.

Make sure the wastegate isn't seized

Thanks for the file, it's much appreciated.

I will be checking the wastegate to be sure it's not seized. Right now, the truck will drive fine for 10-20 minutes after being shut off for a bit, then go back into limp mode.
