Just a reminder for some as I'm sure most know. In many states or possibly everywhere when you extend out a certain distance past your vehicle then you've got to put a flag on the end as a marker.

I could have been more precise and thoughtful with the hole placement but it works!

I don't see a problem. It's not like it's on your truck all the time, right? Great thing about the Maverick, it makes us come up with solutions.

I believe in CA it's 4 feet, but then again, I'm seeing folks drive 75-80 mph in a freeway construction zone (55 posted) and single drivers using the car pool lane without a care in the world.

So what did you modify? Just added another hole in the bar?
I looked on Ford's site. The trailer hitch extender is $309, and it's not as long as the one Whatcolortochoose got. The one from Harbor Freight is only $59 and looks to be more useful for longer boards. Good idea Whatcolor.

I might be headed to Harbor Freight this weekend. :)

Thanks, I'm happy others find it useful!
