I plan on ordering an XLT AWD on August 2nd, but I am big time trying to make up my mind as to whether spring for the FX/4 package as well. Will I be able to order that later without screwing up my locked in pricing and 2.9% interest rate? I just keep going back and forth on it so maybe it is something I just need to put on the back burner for a while. Thanx.

I don’t think the 2,9% interest rate is actually “locked in”. I think I read where the interest rate is the rate available when you’re ready to take delivery and finance it. Ford may/may not have a special interest rate when you take delivery. But, I was told when I bought mine that there wasn’t any “locked in rate” I financed mine at my credit union for 3.9%. Ford was 5.99%.

My dealer told me I could make changes until there was a built date. Don't know about financing but there was no price change other than going down since I deleted the lux package on my XLT.

Check out blakescars2 on you tube for considering FX package or not. He owned FX package first (bought off lot while he waited for his order). Lots of videos before he sold it.. Now he has his order which he changed alot between initial order and schedule, and decided not to get FX but added awd, 4ktow and upgraded wheels which have AT falcon wildpeak tires. He kept sport and eco drive modes by dropping FX, but kept some FX features by adding 4k tow and upgraded wheels/tires.

Thank you. I will check that out on the Tube. Ohhh, I did NOT realize that one would lose sport and eco mode with FX/4. Ouch, that really makes a big diff to me. I also want Falkens so I will look into that as well. Thanx again. Cheers mate.

You can enable all modes with ForScan. Don't let the modes be the deciding factor.

I'll have to do some research on that as I wouldn't have the faintest idea. Gonna have plenty of time to learn though. LOL.
