Changing a submitted Maverick order

Several days after my salesguy put in the order for my Ranger I noticed he got the color wrong. As I sat there he went back into the system, and changed the color with no problem at all. You can change anything you want on your order up until you have a VIN assigned to your order. If your dealer, or salesperson tell you different they are just lazy, or incompetent. Maybe both. Go in person, and have a come to Jesus meeting with them if they give you any crap on the phone.

I ordered through Granger and changed my order twice (changed my initial order to an Area 51 First Edition, saw A51 on a Bronco Sport with the wife and she hated it, so changed it back to Cyber Orange with a sunroof) and each time got an updated order sheet with final pricing before any incentives during the delivery month.
That is the reason I ordered my Bronco through Granger. The customer service they offer goes above, and beyond.

I ordered yesterday. Realized last night that the XL didn't come with Cruise Control as a Standard item. Texted salesman this morning to confirm my thinking and he said he would change it without me having to come in. I haven't received anything confirming the change yet.

How does one change the profile setting from XL to XLT on this site?

After reading the order stats from the forum, I saw over 70% of members added the co-pilot360. That makes me want one. I just email Tom @Dealerinsider Friday to change the order to add the co-pilot 360. They did a fast job and my order changed. The priority code remains the same.

I changed my order a couple of times with Chapman. First I changed the wheels and then I just recently dropped the bed cover. Both times they were fast and I had the new DORA the next time I checked my email.

Thanks, but just to clarify, were you given anything in writing that reflects your order changes, including price?
I've made 3 changes and received a revised Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement (DORA) each time.

Nope. They should be able to do it in Ford’s online ordering system. My salesman just has his manager make any changes, I’ve added some things on two occasions, last one was yesterday.
I intitially ordered the my Lariat in Hot Pepper Red but changed it to Carbonized Gray. I got a call from the dealer verbally telling me they change the color. When you changed your order did you just get a verbal as well or did you get an updated email relecting the changes?

How does one change the profile setting from XL to XLT on this site?
Click on your user name and a drop down menu appears and clink on Account details and a new page load in for account details and Scroll down almost to the bottom right of the page you will find the Trim option. Also make sure you clink the save button at the bottom after you make changes. I hope this help you.

You do not get a email from ford you get a new DORA print. I just did this yesterday at my Dealer and I had to sign the new DORA also.

As I'm sure you've seen, NO you do not get another email from Ford. But you should get an updated DORA from the dealer. Sometimes you have to sign and sometimes you don't. Not sure I know when you have to and when you don't have to.

As I'm sure you've seen, NO you do not get another email from Ford. But you should get an updated DORA from the dealer. Sometimes you have to sign and sometimes you don't. Not sure I know when you have to and when you don't have to.
Awesome, thanks for the answer. My dealer here in Utah hasn't been very helpful, similar to many other experiences out there. Makes me wish I was closer to the mid-west or PA as it seems that is where the few dealers that know what's going on are located!

You do not get a email from ford you get a new DORA print. I just did this yesterday at my Dealer and I had to sign the new DORA also.
Thanks, with the updated lack of scheduling this week I'm going to make the truck just a little more desirable, I think it'll be worth it in the long run. Plan to stop by the dealer and make the change. Thanks!

I've known my Ford dealer for over 30 years the Maverick will be my 10th Ford my wife and me bought with him. I've changed my Maverick order twice and thinking of changing a 3rd time. He's always been able to do it right on his computer. Don't know what I'll do when he retires.

So long as your order has not gotten into preview, order changes are generally fine.

personally, I make my selections and research before ordering, but I understand why as one learns more about a product they might change their mind on options.
