Changed my order, hope it helps

So i used ford video guys recommendations and my dealer agreed that taking the hitch off my wifes xlt hybrid will increase our chances.

We have a 9-15 order with confirmation email that day( is that the date stamp ford video guy talked about) and a now bare xlt hybrid with no options. My dealer has 4 rollovers from 22 ahead of me and i was the first 23 they ordered.
Does that sound like a promising chance to get picked this year.

I would not give up anything even if it means expediting the order. You ordered it because you wanted it. They are already making customers wait 9, 12, 14 months or longer and it seems more like a lottery now than anything else.

If your like me and ordered a hybrid my fear is that it will be an 18 month or longer wait. If I have to wait so be it but I'm not surrendering my hitch or block heater. Those are my only two additions to the XL trim, that and a dealer installed spray in bed liner.

Not giving up. If I have to well then I might as well just go over to the competition now.

I was ditching the hitch until Tim walked it back because of wiring a few weeks ago. I really don’t need it but I want it just in case. I feel like a hitch should be able to be added later but would like them to confirm that.

This truck is primary for my wife. None of her previous vehicles had a hitch and i added it to the order for my own use, so ditching the hitch isnt a must have. We are unfortunately going to be in the situation where a new vehicle is going to be a must have by july or August. So im doing whatever i can to increase the odds

I dropped my hitch to on My xlt hybrid order. I need one for the ladder type extension for my kayaks. I will install the u-hual hitch myself. I don't need the 4 pin connector. so easy job. BUT save 100 from ford ad 250 from u-haul. 150 in the whole. I do have full size spare and manual slide rear window too. My order went through on the Sept 16th got email from Ford same day at 4:20 pm.
