Has anyone tried putting a ceramic coating to protect your paint on your Maverick?
Did you DIY it or pay someone to do it?
Either way, what product did you use?
Does it really last? How long does it last?

I'm thinking about doing a ceramic coating. Checked with a business they quoted me $1200 to do the job. If I do it, it'll be DIY.

I had this applied around June 2, 2023 to my new 2023 Maverick Lariat Hybrid. I have not had to wash it since, although I live in Texas without much rain. Very happy with the results, also had ceramic window tint installed along with the front hood wrap to protect against chips. Overall very pleased with performance, especially after 2500 mile road trip. See pics
Local detail company did install with 5 year warranty, all work about $1100.

Forgot to include the product info:

I am going to get it done. I have it on my Mach e GT and it’s been great. It’s been on more than a year and shines grate is easy to keep clean and things like bird droppings wash right off. It cost $600 and took a full day. It was well worth it.

Turtle wax ceramic and graphene. $30 @ oreillys. Read some of the threads on here about prep with clay pad and iron remover. I apply every 3-4 months as needed. Very easy.

You might consider Torque Detailing for their DIY products. They come highly recommended.

Try Glare +,. Though not ceramic, it's advertised to last 5 years. Easy to apply, but requires two coats. The 1st is to bond with the paint, the 2nd to build up and shine. It's pricey at around $55 per bottle, but goes a long ways. I've done two F150s and my Maverick with it and still have 1/4 of a bottle left!
My dad lives in Borrego Springs which has temperatures ranging from 30° to 120° F & he's had no issues whatsoever.

Been on my Maverick for 3 months with no issues. Rain sheets off, it repels dust & those yellow bug marks, or whatever they are, swipe right off.

And no, not a salesperson, just love this stuff 😊

How long has it lasted realistically on your vehicles?

Put on the Mav 3 months ago & did the F150's last week. It was pretty nice to see the rain from Hilary sheet off last week.

To answer your question, my dad's has been on for 3 years & looks like my Maverick.

I did my wife's KIA with this Mckees37 in March, & plan on using it on my Maverick whenever it comes in.

I ceramic coat all of my vehicles. I only use Adams polishes. Big fan of their Graphene coating. It is $100 a bottle and is a pain to put on, but if done right, last realistically 3-5 years using boosters. If it is a new vehicle, I clay bar the entire vehicle, do a correcting and finishing buff, wipe down the entire vehicle with prep…aka alcohol solution, then ceramic coat. Full day job but bugs wash off with a garden hose. Best thing about Adams graphene is you can use it on all surfaces so I do all the plastic and windows. Hardly have to use wipers unless it is heavy rain. I could pay $800-1000 to have a shop do it and it is labor intensive but kinda therapeutic to do and I know it is done right. I always hand wash to extend the life of the ceramic. Also, I let it set inside for a day to cure before driving.

You should make a how to video. :) Or post a link to one.
