Ford’s infotainment screen got to where it would frequently require a reset (Power + >> for ten sec.).
Finally Apple CarPlay stopped working. Swapped cables with no relief.
Read these forums then found that Sync 3 had turned off the CarPlay in settings. Turned it back on but menu options would stay grey (not blue). Deleted all the phone profiles and started fresh, system now works fine.
Just wanted to offer one more fix to the threads on Sync3 & CarPlay.
