Howdy!

Fairly new owner of a 22 Hybrid XLT. Since I've had it, I have not been able to turn on the rear cargo light (the one in the bed - see photo for reference.) This isn't my photo, it's just for reference.

I don't know if it's not working (I'm assuming it's LED), if there's some switch or setting I need to change for it to work, or if it needs to be replaced.

I've tried to remove it, but there's a lot of resistance, and I don't want to break it. (I assume it has to just pop out!)

If it needs replaced, can anyone recommend a quality product, and possibly instructions or a video?

I've searched all over this club and the web, but have not found anything specific to this.

Thanks in advance!

It should automatically turn on when you open and close the doors as well as lock and unlock the vehicle. If they're not working either the bulbs have burnt out and need to be replaced or you have a bad circuit somewhere.

There's also a push button switch left of the steering wheel next to the headlight control knob.

I also wired in under bedrail leds for better lighting in the bed at dark, as the oem ds led bedlight is a joke. Cost was 20.00 for 2 strips from Niilight on Amazon, took about a hour to install.

If you’re referring to the light in the photo… there is a switch right below the light. It works whether the truck is on or not. If you don’t turn it off, it’s on a timer and will turn off after about 10 minutes.

How was removing the side panels of the bed liner? I have my lights waiting around to install I just haven’t looked at the bed liner and taking it apart yet.

For whatever reason, I have to put my key in the ignition, turn it to the on position, before I can push the button below the bed light and have it illuminate... It will then be available to turn on and off for about an hour before it requires this step again.

Very easy just alot of small bolts to remove then later reinstall. That's what took the most time, but it was worth it in the end for the results.
