It has been five weeks since I got my Maverick and couldn't be happier. Took a 30 mile drive with my hybrid and got 44 mpg!
So I got home and decided to replace all the halogen bulbs with the LasFit ones I ordered months ago.
The bulb housing above the cab's rear window does not fit totally tight to the cab after I replaced the bulbs.
I did not take a picture before I removed it to see how it appeared from the factory, so??
It is a slight gap around the top of the unit, is this normal?
Thanks for all responses.

It needs to fit flush or you'll get water intrusion into the cab.
And we got over 2" of rain last night as it sat in the driveway :(
I tried twice to get it to fit tight, but even 'test' fitting it, it would not go tight.
I thought maybe the bulb housings are not re-inserted right, but I think they can only go in one way, so?
Thanks for your response.

I didn't have your issue when I replaced my cargo bulbs with LED's. If I remember correctly, I had to angle the light back in because one of the wires was trying to catch on the metal behind the light. It looks like one of your wires is blocking the light from seating all the way to the cab. I recommend taking it off and "fiddle" with it to get it to set - and check how you set the bulbs in, too. It definitely ain't fitting right!

I really appreciate it. I have thought that maybe a wire is between the truck housing and the bulb holder that may be causing the problem.

Today I drove to my dealership and they had a Maverick on the lot and the cargo/brake light housing looks the same as mine. The gasket is tight, but the housing is about 1/16" off the cab, across the top of the lense.

My 24' I've changed my stock halogens to all LEDs in cmhsl, no issues. Mounts flush as it did prior to led install, there are tabs I believe 4 to help proper position before reinstalling screws.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Exactly as described. It shows the gap … which I didn’t notice before I’d taken mine off. Mine’s a 24 too, with the moonroof. The gasket underneath is flush but it still makes me wonder … they’ve always been spaced out like that? leaking isn’t an issue in after multiple years?
