I was wondering if the plug is active that feeds the factory bed light in the cubby or do you need Forscan to activate it? I’m looking to put bed lights in and it would be nice to hook into the factory harness that way when the bed lights are on it would put on the cargo light too like the factory setup does. Does anyone have the connector breakout or wiring diagram for the factory setup? Also I believe the connection is by the muffler on the drivers side is this right?

I tapped directly into the light the easiest way to do all the work with the drop in bed liner is to remove both tail lights , you have full access to the existing light and switch and can snake wires down and under the end of the tail gate to the other side. Full lenght LED from amazon $22 are super bright and go on and off with the existing light. No issues with over loading the existing lighting circuit, works with the switch and when you unlock the car and open the tail gate

Good advice here. You can tap into the factory light switch in the bed. You don't need a diagram. There's only two wires going to the switch. It's basically one wire just interrupted by the switch which completes the flow of electricity when switched on and stops the flow when turned off. Just tap into those wires.
