That's what I did when I was deciding on what color I wanted for my Maverick.
Yep - that sealed the deal on my Maverick choice too.

If you look at the left front corner, you will notice that above and below the headlight, the color is much lighter in that area.

IMO, that is closer to the color that will be visible under summertime sunlight. Just put a piece of paper over everything but that part, and it really changes your perspective about the color.

This works on all the colors not just CB.

That's just a retouch of what someone thinks CGM will look like, probably pretty close though.

The original pic from Ford is Hot Pepper Red.
man I am impressed with that photoshop to keep the reflections and light changes. Also if mine looks like this I will be happy.

I went with the carbonized grey Lariat with the First Edition. I think it’s going to look awesome with the black roof, mirror caps and graphics especially the hood graphics with first edition in small print.

I think the brown active X seating will look good with the carbonized grey.

Looking forward to getting it once it’s built.

Well fellow Carbonizers of the Grey realm, it seems that our CG Maverick is one of the most shy colors out there!! I have yet to see a "live" picture of CG at a car show or in a YouTube review! I'm hoping that with the lifting of the driving embargo soon that there will be a CG Mav appears soon! According to my dealer he should be receiving a stock Mav in late Aug or early Sept. Again I'm hoping that it will be CG. At the very least maybe a follower of this forum will spot one and post some pictures for use to drool over!! Until then we will have to wait and look at F150s, Broncos or Escapes in CG! ;)

Also, we Carbonized Grey peeps have the distinct honor of not having a single truck scheduled during last week’s scheduling run.
It does seem that we hold that unique honor! :(

Looks great! I chose those optional rims on my Lariat FX4 build. Glad to see my thought of the brighter rims working well with the brighter grille bar (even though the one pictured is XLT) and the rim center playing nice with the Carbonized Gray color. I also wanted the slightly larger tires that come with them. Going to look great with the molded front and rear splash guards too. Made a good choice for my build.

I ordered the XLT with the Lux package and it comes with the darker wheels, which for me looks great.

I’m not a big fan of the gunmetal color rims, I did however like the black color rims included with the FX4 package. I may switch back, but for now, I’ll keep my build current with the optional ones.

I went to the ford dealership this afternoon. I saw a carbonized gray escape and F-250, and a cactus gray bronco sport and an area 51 bronco sport, and an ingot silver escape.

I like the carbonized gray. It probably sounds stupid but I was wondering how the black would contrast with the gray or if it would blend in. I thought it really looked good with the black trim.

Carbonized gray is a dark gray. I looked at the f-250 parked beside a black f-250 and the black one was about a shade darker, but carbonized gray is dark.

I thought the area 51 and cactus gray were "pretty" but were too light. To me. The area 51 had a little too much of a smurf blue hue and the cactus gray had a little too much don't-know-if-the-baby-will-be-a-boy-or-a-girl-but-it-will-need-some-pajamas pastel green. To me.

I said that the carbonized gray looked less juvenile and the salesman thought that was a good way to put it. What I meant was when you add the small size of the truck with the pastel colors it comes off as too young for someone my age.

I thought that the contrast of the black and gray on the escape was sharp and I'm excited for how the mav will look.
