Good morning fellow mav hybrid owners. I had a dead truck this morning. Second time since owing this Jan 22. I was ready though I bought a portable booster. Got it back up and running but this time there's a check engine light. Anyone else run into this problem.

I do drive quite short trips, I work 2 miles away from home, so my commute doesn't really do much to recharge the battery.

TIA

Did you use the jump pins under the hood with he booster and NOT the battery under the rear seat?

Yes I did the boost from my hood.... Should I have tried on the battery?
No you did it correctly.

Do you know about the "Wiring Harness" issue?

yes i do know about the wiring harness issue. i just read the ussie on the ford app. It says the powertrain control system has detected a software error with the vehicle option configuration. I have changed some settings to the software such as changing the sounds from speakers to dash, tire size. Weird no idea. Made an appointment with Ford hopefully they know better

You did right under hood.. with your super short commute I would suggest std or econ with LOW BUTTON ON. The CEL may be related to the ice not getting up to operating temp long enough dealer will check code. The low will help with that. I would leave truck in ready to drive with lights, AC, radio, etc off for 30-45 minutes every third day to ensure 12v gets charged. Or a 12v maintained.

Do you have a code reader that you can pull the code with to see why the engine light is on? They are really cheap or just about any auto parts store will let you use one.
