Probably the black/dark interior. Black can really mess is size and depth perceptions. The lighter/more contrasty interior of the Maverick provide more detail for your vision to key scale/depth on.

That’s probably it. I thought it was because seats were lill softer (which they are) and i was seeing out my azz again. Wife says i do that a lot.

Keep in mind everyone that he is used to an F150. You could probably put the cabin of the Mav into the F150 Crew Cab and still have room for 2 more peeps. Everyone's perspective is different.

Ford has said that this is a truck for those moving up from a sedan. For me, coming from a Fusion, it will feel roomy. Plus, I am also used to the interior of our Ranger which, shockingly, is a bit tighter in some dimensions than the Mav. However, if you are coming down in size from a recent F150 Crew Cab the Mav we be 'small.' The OP just decided that is a bit too small for them. No biggie.

The Maverick is also a bit roomier inside all around than my current 2018 Tacoma, so I feel like I’ll be making a step up myself.
