Not true as we currently know it. The 23's will probably have different pricing, options, packages, and colors. As we currently understand, a new order will have to be placed. You will be able to use your "private offer" to offset some of the price increase.

My order should not change (options, packages, and color) and will pushed over exactly as ordered it Nov 1, 2021 with the same order number. But hey, maybe they'll give me a Shelby option

You still have to make arrangements with the dealership to place a new order. There will most likely be paperwork to sign

Preorder now and have the dealer punch the order through when the banks open. Then make any changes after the fact if you need to. In other words, if it turns out the Lux package is chopped up just have the dealer know not to order it and after you review the particulars have the dealer change the color to reflect the parts you want. FVG has been preaching this approach for weeks now and it makes perfect sense.

Yes, you need to go to a dealer and ask them you want to pre-order. They will take your info, driver's license and whatever. Tell them what you want in a '23 and to order it when the banks open. There should be minor changes in packages, maybe. Who knows. Price increase? Who knows. Whatever, just get it ordered and then make the changes you want. Best of luck.

What is an Internet dealer? Aren’t all Ford dealers internet dealers? How can you find Internet dealers?

Internet dealers are Ford dealers that have an internet department that takes orders over the phone. Many small dealers will make you come in to the dealership in person, possibly so that they can better control the interaction and transaction!
My local small town "internet dealer" does not advertise their internet department at all!
I only found out about it when by clicking on each and every employee they had listed (name and picture only). When I clicked one of the employee pictures, the title "Internet Manager" popped up!
I called on the phone and my pre-order was set up in 15 minutes!
