What if the economy went to shit, things happen and would it be fair or ethical to get hundreds or thousands of people saying I don’t want the vehicle? Just saying there are two sides to every coin, things are great in the car business from a demand standpoint but I always say what if what if China invaded Taiwan, the stock market would drop 50% and there’s no doubt there would be a severe recession that would make 2008 look like a holiday. Just had this conversation with my financial advisor today, hope for the best but plan for the worst. Oh and guess where most chips are made, Taiwan.
Yea this year could turn bad fast, delta , Afghan situation , China/Taiwan , runaway inflation. A truck may be the least of my worries :)

I have been very fortunate to be in the healthcare field during 2020 and current. That being said, I am not very optimistic about the next few years (globally). I have, this past week, thought about going with a basic XL instead of the XLT loaded out. I am currently debt free and hate to be strapped down during an unforeseeable future.

I am going to be debt free come October 18th or so as I am being forced into bankruptcy (chapter 7) due to medical bills and student loans (non federal). Good thing is I am not buying the Maverick, my foundation is, I will keep my HCH2 as a personal ride but be the primary driver of the Maverick as it can carry my chair, hazmat gear and medical supplies with ease. Along with BoB, GhB, Range Bag, EMT bag, CERT bags + supplies, EDC, and Roadside Bag. All at the same time plus any teaching it install gear. speed jack, and tools should fit well too as well as spare CBRN gear.
Yes I carry all that with me plus a small fridge for those things that must remain between 75 and 85 degrees and meds that have to remain refrigerated.

My dealer also said I could get my deposit back if I didn't like it. But I insisted that he write an "escape clause" on my Vehicle Buyer's Order before I signed it, just to avoid misunderstandings or memory failures. The clause reads:

"If customer does not like the performance of Hybrid engine, [dealer name] will return deposit."

So it's really up to me to decide, which I will do when the truck is delivered.
