Need some help. Got the truck this week, and this evening I could not get the climate control knob to change the desired temperature. Screen indicates “LO” and nothing I do affects that - tried cycling climate control on and off, even software reset but nothing changes. Fan speed can be adjusted and AC can be turned on or off but can’t adjust temp.

XLT like XL has manual climate control. Left dial controls fan speed, right controls temp.
Thx but literally nothing happens when I turn the temp knob in either direction

Hi Fred. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

Ok guys - so here was the solution. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a faulty climate control module. Got it swapped out, but with a catch. I my original install had the version where the temp control knob didn't have the digital readout. Now I've got the old version (which I'm cool with and prefer), but the readout doesn't illuminate any digits (as in that specific display isn't putting out any output).

The most important part is that I can adjust the temp (and verify both by feel and what my big screen shows). However, it's a mystery to me and the dealership why the readout on the knob itself doesn't indicate anything.

I don't suppose anybody's got an idea on that one?

Someone did a swap themselves, to get the read out they had to do so work in Forscan, adding different lines of code that are not present on the units without the temp display.

Sounds like typical Ford.
