I have a 24 Lariat and it is Sync 3. Even the software is better than the lower trims. I wasn't looking for a Lariat when i bought mine but I am glad I have the higher trim. There are just too many extra goodies that aren't on even the XLTs.
I have the xlt I got lucky getting mine. I did a substitution of collateral to get out of an escape that was a lemon. (Metal shavings in cylinder head and coolant system.)I have done some Forscan changes but nothing crazy cause there isn’t a lot one can do

If that is the case, then Ford has problems.
Oh they have problems. They have been leading the way in recalls. I think the last 2 CEOs have screwed Ford up. They need to bring Alan back. Things were good when he was CEO. I would still rather have a Ford than a GM product. There is a guy on YouTube that drives a wrecker and he has been making all kind of videos of practically NEW GM SUVs like the Escalade that he has been hauling back to the dealers with failed fuel pump relays. One of the Silverrados only had 4000. These trucks are leaving their owners STRANDED. GMs have always had weak electronics. Damn ignition modules used to fail all the time in the late 70s. Now it is fuel pump relays. It may pay to keep one in your glove box if you own one.

I have tinkered with ForScan trying to get the road signs to display but all I can get are the round European ones.

I have us ones showing on mine. I have lane departure and keep without the button working also. Added a few extra things to the coaster also like changes the mpg from being the bar to actual numbers.

GM-wise: Just announced a day ago.. The NHTSA is opening a probe of engine failure (Sounds like the Hybrid 2.5L issue from 2022 : bearing fails, than Engine hand grenades..) For 877,700 Full Size Chevy/GM units... Yikes. o_O

Maverick-wise: As I have stated before, Only have had one occurance of the camera issue.. 🤞
In the last 2+ years...

I will take a Ford over anything GM makes.

Rumor is that it will be a hardware update. Does not sound like sync 3, but who knows.

Regardless 200k+ units x $500 minimum is a decent chunk of $. They could have upped the price by $100 but then starting price wouldn't be 19,995 :)

👍 Exactly
But the $169 Million Dollar Fine, costs associated with the recall and discounts of the unsold 24's on hold, kind of took care of any savings. 😲

Heard that too...
I will wait a bit, if it is..
Issue only happened once, back in 2023...

I don't have any "new" insight on this topic, just an observation based on the conversation we had with our dealer when we traded in our 2023 XLT Hybrid for our 2025 XLT Hybrid AWD. Anyway, the dealer gave us a really good price on trade-in (close to what we paid for it actually) and I told the sales team that both the windshield wiper and backup camera recalls hadn't been fixed on it. They said that the backup camera didn't have a fix coming "anytime soon" and they wouldn't be selling my old one until the fix was performed. We had one situation where the camera screen "locked up" when backing up - put it in park, back into reverse and it went back to normal.

But yeah - looks like the "right" repair is more than they want to spend. That said, having gone through a couple of other recalls on the 2023 Maverick before we traded it in, I was happy with how aggressively Ford took care of things. My Tesla owning friend has identified several things that lots of people report as being a major issue on his Y, and Tesla is like "uh, nope, nothin' to see here..."

My backup camera seems to be working fine. I haven't noticed any lag, dim screen or black screen.
