I just went to a dealership.
Two persons told me parts and 4.0 hours of labor are involved.

Software updates for the powertrain and body control module are allocated 0.7 hours.
If we're still talking about 24S59, it's a software update only. Sometimes people at dealerships don't know what they're talking about. 🤷‍♂️

Source: My service paperwork from when I had it done a week ago.

I have six open recalls.
They said the rear camera update was the most involved one. They took pictures of all my radio settings so they could "restore" it for me.
They said it may last longer than one day and I'll get a loaner car if they are not done by 5pm today.
Did you ask them what parts were involved? Your post is the first time I've seen anyone mention parts.

Dropped mine off for 3 recalls yesterday including back up camera. Something didn't go right with the camera one, asked me to drive over and drop of the spare set of keys. They are in contact with Ford engineers. Guess I should have waited longer. Ford app says my vehicle is running, they sucked up 10 percent of my tank so far.

Just got mine back.
Screen is for sure brighter.
Also LESS contrast. That is, no black, only grey. Looks sharper but that may be an optical illusion from the added brightness.

Checked out the reverse camera. Looks worse. More blurry. But maybe someone put fingerprints on the lens or something. Did not check yet.

Odd that Google maps was having all sorts of trouble on the way home. (Phone was fine btw) First, maps were blocky, chunky, missing graphics, and not updating in real time. Later, it was telling me speed limit was 25 or 30 on the freeway. Had weird pop-ups. Kept popping up "15 miles to destination" every 10 seconds. Some of the familiar colors changed.

I asked dealer clerk "what part had to be changed?" He said (new guy...... 🙄) "In your case we didn't need to change it out. If the software updates don't pass the test, then we have to change the unit and that's what takes so long (the reported 4 hours).

Radio presets were retained (or reprogrammed but I doubt that was necessary).

My instrument cluster preferences however were reset to factory defaults from the other recalls / updates.

This was a first time visit to this dealer.
They did not try to sell me tires (40k on the original tires) while a previous dealer tried to sell me tires at 17k. They didn't try to sell me oil changes or anything. They personally drove me to work (8.2 miles) and were busy in the afternoon so sent a Lyft to get me on their dime at 4:30pm.
They did a free car wash but not a very good one. I could barely see a difference.

Pretty good experience.
But Google acting weird, and the door chime, key in, door open chime, and keep hands on the steering wheel chime "do do - do do" is NOT transmitting over the stereo speakers.

I reset the head unit 1x. No change.

Well, a couple of new features popped up after the latest software update.

While I use the feature all the time, and I toggle the feature with the button on the stalk all the time, I never ever saw these messages until after the updates.

Ford Maverick Camera recall: Greatest infotainment system upgrade ever IMG_3922

On / off every time the button is pressed. It's "fine" just distracting having gone 3 years and never seeing it before.

Next one:

First time I have ever seen this.
No OK button. No time out. No way to clear this screen or see any other screen. Note truck is in Park. Truck still ready / running. And this is at the end of an hour long ride (seatbelt on the whole time until I parked). I wanted to listen to a radio program for 10 more minutes. Never seen this at the END of a drive while in park. Only at the start.
Never seen a box with no "ok" button.

On same visit they did action:
