The parasitic drag behind the back window will be increased significantly. Any MPG benefit from adding the bed cover is probably gone. Since the spoiler throws the air up instead of letting it flow over the cab, you are effectively increasing the wind frontal area as well. From a MPG perspective, it probably has about the same effect (or maybe a tiny bit more) as adding a bug deflector. If someone wanted to increase MPG, then potentially could use vortex generators instead of a spoiler.So, do you think it will decrease drag ecoefficiency?
