I thought about removing the 3 I had applied but the optimist in me kept saying maybe it won’t be that noticeable. Wrong😢
You didn’t notice the color difference before you put them on? They‘re right next to each other on that little piece of cardboard….

Yes, Tuffskinz take forever to get, most of my orders took over two weeks. They usually sit in the post office in Florida almost a week before they move through the USPS system. Florida USPS must be eternally backed up there.
I had the same issue with something, don’t remember what part it was, where they delayed my order due to a quality control issue in color. The parts they finally sent matched perfectly.

I have no doubt that they will offer a replacement or refund.

BTW, I have pulled Tuffskinz products off. They are easier than hard metal or plastic decals simply because they are flexible.

On another note, the Area 51 color matching letters look really good. It almost makes me wish I would have put white letters on my white truck.

Would you post a picture please?
Here you go. The color somewhat changes based on what angle you are looking at it from (somewhat like the A51). If you are looking at it straight-on, it is more black-ish while from an angle or with the sun it has more of the rainbow. At night it is a white-ish rainbow that can be seen from far away. This was exactly what I was looking for. The seller does not list the color under the Maverick so check out his Bronco listings for the exact color name (It was something like Black Reflective Rainbow or Black Reflective Opal). I know nothing about the seller other than this order so your mileage may vary.

just an update on the response fro TUFSKINZ. My new letters have been shipped! I received a very sincere apology from them. BTW, I asked about removal and they said hair dryer, do NOT use a heat gun.

Great!

Good info too about not using a heat gun.

easy. Just use a heat gun low heat and they will peel right off. Prob use anything plastic to give a little leverage.

overall low heat is your friend.
When they said they were sending a new set of letters I asked about removing the others. They suggested a hair dryer and fishing line saying do not use a heat gun.

both will work just fine. All you are doing is warming the adhesive so the fishing line can peel the letter off.

both are producing heat. With the heat gun having the potential of producing more temperature. Use whichever you feel more comfortable with. Main thing is do not rush, after the first letter comes off the rest will be easier.

easy job, just don’t rush.

This will need to be a future project since I’m limited on time this month. Looks like I need to set aside quite a bit of time since I will want to remove all letters the same day.

bought a trim remover kit from harbor freight to make dealing with these things a lot easier. contains several plastic wedges for this kind of stuff. They only like $7-$8 or so. I'm using them for other reasons but they do help.
Also you can use an old credit card, I've used them many times in tight places where I didn't want to take a chance of scratching something.

I don’t think it will take long, after the first one. You’ll get the hang of it very quickly.

you’ll also want some 50/50 ipa and a good quality microfiber towel to clean the surface before new letters go on.

should be a really easy job + you’re a pro at putting them on already

Compare the new letters with your existing ones, you may only need to replace the ones that don't match, saving you some time and ending up with some spares.
