Yup, I doubt you have a firm grip on estimates to repair a vehicle. It makes every bit of sense.

That is why the vehicle was totaled.
Side note, I've been driving our totalled caravan for 3 years. Hit a deer, got a nice check from insurance and will sell it next year for even more money. It drives just fine,only cosmetic damage.

eff no 50 should definitely buy his truck back if allowed. compared to other trucks I've seen, his frame rail barely damaged. I'd drive it.

I have been rear-ended twice in Albuquerque, NM, In six months. Both times by inattentive drivers in larger pickups. I was stopped or had to stop. No I didn't have to slam on the brakes. And, no, they were not on their phones. Neither I or the car was damaged. But without the hitch receiver there is a good chance the Maverick would have needed minor repairs. The lesson is. GET THE HITCH RECEIVER.
I guess you’re lucky it’s only happened twice. There’s an epidemic of tailgaters, not to mention high speed addicts in Albuquerque.
