Burnt smell from HVAC

I drove up a mountain the other day for fun and after getting up and slowing down to park I started to smell a very bad burning smell from the air vents.
This is the 2nd time I got this issue after heavy driving up a mountain.
First time I had roughly 500 miles
This time the smell was a lot worse at 2000 miles.

Temperature was roughly 55 outside and the engine was warm before my drive up.
I opened the hood after I parked and didn’t see or smell anything there. Coolant level is normal and oil level is high and in good color.

I had a smell of burning plastic in the first few days but not since.

I also had some burnt plastic smell at first. Pretty normal for a brand new vehicle.

Also noticed a horrible chemical smell as I was driving up a canyon slowly behind a big ol diesel truck last weekend. Turned on the air recirculating and it slowly got better. I think the high purity air filter takes out some of the contaminants that make diesel exhaust smell like it does, and leaves behind some other nasty fumes.

I still didn’t take my car to the dealer. I did another mountain drive. Very high rev and even sport mode this time. No smell.
it could be stuff burning the first time. No issue again.
If I get the smell again I for sure taking it to the dealer to figure it out.
