Just wrapped up the first camping trip with my new OVS HD Nomadic 3 RTT mounted on Loadd Lo-rackk bed racks.
With this setup I've still got most of the normal visibility out the rear window, only losing a few inches out the top. Road manners are basically unchanged. I can only detect noise...
Nope! If you take the cross bars off then it works normally. I think a soft tonneau would easily roll up underneath, maybe a hard roll up too. It's a sacrifice, but one I'm willing to make. And yes, it's a trifold.
Haven't seen anyone else review these racks for the Maverick yet, so figured I'd share my experience with these racks. They are relatively inexpensive at just $589, and have plenty of weight capacity for any RTT or other toys you might want to put on top of the Maverick bed. The height is just...
Yikes! Gotta factor that into the total cost of ownership. I'm happy to have spent the extra now on the Falkens as it seems like it will save me money in the long term, while being great tires overall.
How many miles is everyone getting out of the OEM factory installed Falken Wildpeaks tires?
I've got about 9000 miles on mine and they still appear to have basically all of their tread, so just wondering what a reasonable life expectancy is, given proper rotation and normal use.
I've had OEM...
We got upwards of a foot of snow in SLC last week. I have a Lariat AWD lux 4k with falken wildpeaks and had the pleasure of driving to/from work in the worst of it. Saw Subarus and lots of sedans sideways or off the road, but the Mav acted like it was a sunny summer day. Not a single slip...
I also had some burnt plastic smell at first. Pretty normal for a brand new vehicle.
Also noticed a horrible chemical smell as I was driving up a canyon slowly behind a big ol diesel truck last weekend. Turned on the air recirculating and it slowly got better. I think the high purity air...
In case it helps anyone, I find that my 171 cm skis fit diagonally in the bed like they were made for the Maverick. You could probably get another 2-3 cm in there before it becomes a problem.
Before it arrived I thought I would have to install some rack or slot system to keep them secure and...
You know, I thought that might be the case with mine, so I tried letting it run via remote start for 10 min or so one day, but when I got in, the fan was still not on and the seats were still not hot. Maybe it's just an EcoBoost quirk?
I ordered in Jan and picked it up Monday with the original 1.9 for 60 rate. The salesperson I worked with had miraculously never heard of this checkbox in smart Vincent that pulls rates from the time of order. I showed him a screenshot of his own software from MTC (this community is freaking...
This is really helpful! I'm in Utah and had some of the same questions regarding maverick applicability and how to claim the rebate. Thanks for putting the time in to post. Hope I get to use this knowledge in about a month!
Anyone try using the Utah Farm Bureau benefits for the $500 discount? The fine print doesn't seem to include the Maverick, but Ford's website seems to suggest it would.
Similar story for me. I chatted with Ford a few days ago and found out my Jan 6th order has a 10/3 build date. This was a couple weeks after trading up to a new vehicle in anticipation of waiting through another winter without my maverick...
