OK. I’ll be the fool. What’s the difference between a reservation and an order?
Reservation means you filled out a build online and may have done one to as many dealers or in multiple configs. Order means you went to a dealer and said you wanted it gave your ID signed the paper and they entered it in Ford's order system.

Reservations are dreamers. some people have entered any number of reservations and may or may not have even made even one order. An order occurs when you actually fill out the paperwork and "order" a vehicle. In my case the reservation led to a phone call/email from the local dealer asking if I would indeed like to put in a special order, which I physically went in and did. A "verified" order must include a drivers license number so they know this is a verifiable order.

Funny you should say that , I now ask people do you have a reservation or build order. I think many just made reservations to say they have one. They will be surprised when/if they try to convert.

My last 5 is 11900. Does anyone know if you can determine anything from that number?

Mine is 16244, so I assume yours will be built before mine. I have a 11/01 build date and so far that has not changed 🤞

The last 6 digits of the VIN are the "Production Sequence Number" per the 2022 Maverick User Manual.
See first photo.

I noticed that all of the posts here so far are not showing all six digits just five or four if the 5th is a 0. I am assuming that the 6th digit is "A" like mine as Ford has only just started production since September. However in the future when Ford production exceeds 10,000 the "A" will change to "B" then "C", "D" etc.

My Vin ends with: A18742
It is an XLT Hybrid with a build week of 11/15

For those here with VIN's here is a link where you can decode your VIN:
https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder

I have attached what mine decoded to in the second picture.

Mine is A08448, but I have moved beyond a ‘in production’ status and others with 10/04 build dates and higher seq.#’s have received Built and est delivery date notices.

Really wish I could get some insight into what’s going on.

Here's a breakdown of the VIN.

3FT-T-W8F-9-1-NR-A01234

3FT- Ford Mexico - World manufacturer identifier
T-Restraint system - brake system, gross vehicle weight rating, restraint devices and their locations.
* W8E-Maverick Front wheel Drive - Make, Vehicle line, series, body type
or
* W8F Maverick All wheel drive
3 - 2.5 Hybrid - Engine or motor type
or
9- engine type 2.0 Ecoboost - Engine or motor type
1 - Check Digit - Used to detect fraudulent VINs
N-year code for 2022 - Model year
R Hermosillo Plant - Assembly Plant
A00000-Z99999- Sequential Vehicle Identifiers - Production sequence number.

The check digit, found in position 9 of the VIN and compulsory for vehicles in North America, is used to validate a VIN. This is helpful for computers to immediately tell if there is an error or issue with the VIN. The check digit is calculated by removing all of the letters and substituting them with their appropriate number counterparts. You then take those numbers and multiply them against a weight factor table. You then have 16 numbers which you add together and divide by 11. The remainder is the check digit. If the remainder is 10, then the check digit is “X."

I agree that the sequence number is for the plant, meaning it includes both Bronco and Maverick.

The following post has an image of Ford's production number announcement for September.
https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...nth-launch-sept-2021-7-323-produced-ytd.2807/

It looks like Hermosillo produced 7,323 Mavericks by the end of September, with 5,660 of those being produced in September itself.

If they could continue at that rate, they would have produced about 24,000 Mavericks by the end of the year. (Possible. They have just had a slow-down, but 5,660/month may not be their maximum rate.)
