When I ordered out my 2000 F-250 Super Duty turbo diesel Lariat it listed for $34,084.00. At the time I thought that was a bunch, after owning it for 24 years I replaced it with my 2024 Maverick .I’m itching to go buy another super duty. In 2014 I bought an F450. We used it to haul our “Tiltin’ Hilton” around while pulling our sport wave rider boat.
Back in 2014, the F450 was $46k. Today I looked at a new 2026 for $82k. Man, the price seems to have gone way up.

$34,084 in January 2000 is equivalent to $65,675 in January of 2026.When I ordered out my 2000 F-250 Super Duty turbo diesel Lariat it listed for $34,084.00. At the time I thought that was a bunch, after owning it for 24 years I replaced it with my 2024 Maverick .
F-450 has the wide-track front axle which is not only more stable in conjunction with the 19.5 commercial tires, but it turns a lot tighter than the F-350.The F450 was perfect before, and I think I’d like the F450 again. We enjoy going to either the coast or up to the mountains. It’s a couple or three hours either way, depending where we go.
Bought our ’22 F350 a ’24 Mav. Great combination for us. Each does what we need them to do very well.I’m itching to go buy another super duty. In 2014 I bought an F450. We used it to haul our “Tiltin’ Hilton” around while pulling our sport wave rider boat.

Today's "modern" diesels are a pricey venture as opposed to yesteryear....Absolutely! Need the torque to pull those long grades heading up to Asheville.

Yea way! Had extensive rust repair over the years but no collision, used it to tow our 35ft Montana fifth wheel among other task. Sold it in mechanical sound condition with 121,000 mi. By the way my first fill up of #2 diesel cost me .99 cents a gal.24 years! No way!
No rust? No car crash involved? Ever?
