Just to share with anyone that may be reading this thread later. I weighed my Bronco Sport Big Bend wheels and tires (same ones OP has) and they were about 45lbs. That corresponds with 21.2 lbs the rim is supposed to weigh and the 24lbs the CONTINENTAL PROCONTACT TX tire is supposed to weigh per tire rack. I'm pretty happy that these OEM wheels are relatively light. It's a pretty substantial reduction from the 27.2lbs the stock XL steelies weigh. I'm starting the whole which lugnuts to buy reading journey.

OEM XL lug nuts fit and look great on the BS BB wheels.

I wasted too long reading the lug nut threads. Save your time and sanity.

I actually just pulled the trigger on a set of black closed ended ones on eBay. I didn't think I'd like the look open ended ones from my XL wheels. I also live somewhere with tons of salt on the roads in the winter and don't want the threads getting rusty. I'll probably get a set of winter wheels/tires so I'll be swapping twice a year.

FYI those OEM Ford lug nuts are "2 piece" and will eventually swell or come apart so the correct socket will not fit. I've been stranded because of this. Never again.

I was happy to change out my lugs when I swapped steelies for BS Badlands wheels. They were going to get replaced regardless.

I put base Bronco Sport rims and used my tires & lig nuts on my 2022 XL hybrid
