Braking Maverick XL Hybrid

Brakes work fine. Every once in awhile, when I’m on a slight incline, and lightly release the brake, I hear a thumping noise. Has this happened to anyone else?

Maybe it's the auto-hold feature turning off? On my Mav, even when I don't have the auto hold on, it still turns on when it notices I'm on an Incline and have been stopped. (IE: Sitting at a red light facing uphill.) Usually, it makes a winding noise like when releasing the E-Brake not a thump though.

I'm having the same thing happen. I called the dealer and have a appointment Thur. Keep you updated.

I don't hear any noise, but that's because I've got Sirius XM playing through Android Auto.

It's more of a pulsing sensation in the brake pedal. Kind of like when you activate the ABS but it's a lot less intense. And it quickly goes away if there's any variation in the pressure on the brake pedal.

Mine does the same. Only when it is on an incline. I would guess they will keep your car all day and say they hear nothing.

Happens with mines slightly holding the brake while on a decline. Feels like something roughly shifting. It's happened a few times but i assume it's something with the descent control

Well took Mav back to dealer thinking it will never do it again for the tech but it did it first stop with tech inside. Feels like maybe something to do with downshift just before full stop but...So now the dealership has officially had the Mav more days than me. Pretty frustrated and thinking of demanding my money back or an all new Mav but I won't wait 9 months. I have 4 ford vehicles but I think I'm through with ford.

Just get your truck back. Live with it for awhile. Ford will probably come up with a fix.
