Good morning all. Do my brake lights illuminate when I am stuck or slowing down in traffic while using adaptive cruise control in my ‘25 Lariat?

I would guess it depends on how severe the slowdown is. If I'm on the interstate and come up on a vehicle going slightly slower than I am, my Maverick just slows down a bit with no brakelight. But if I'm in stop and go traffic and it's a severe braking activity, the lights do illuminate.

No. You might be too young but think of downshifting in a manual transmission the brake lights are not activated.
The brake lights are not activated when regenerating, unless the adaptive cruise control actually has to use the brakes. Then the brake lights are activated.
