Just finished lowering and widening Bluto. Fresh tires coming soon, but very pleased with the look of the wheels and stance…

New tires and bath. It’s been a fun past few days working in my garage, but now time for a break. This is the first vehicle that I’ve invested my own on time, tools, and hard earned money into transforming beyond the stock trim. Not sure what it is about these funny little trucks, but it all started with our other Maverick we got our son his senior year before going off to the Navy. “Nuke” is just an 2022 Iconic Silver XL AWD EB, but it hooked me (DIY’d OEM cruise control) and I knew I had to get one and build it the way I wanted it so I ordered a 2023 Alto Blue Lariat EB AWD 4K fully loaded.

Bluto Completed Build Installations:

Ford Accessories Front Bug Shield
Ford Accessories Hard Roll Up Tonneau (BAK revolver X2)
Ford Accessories Drop in Bedliner
Ford Accessories Air Design Tailgate Spoiler
Bushwhacker Fender Flares (Smooth, not textured like Ford Accessories, I might paint them still)
Wheel Spacers (1.5” front, 2” rear)
Goodwin Progress Lowering Springs
Ford Edge ST Mag Wheels 21 X 9
Michelin Tires 265/40/R21 CrossClimate2
Tint Covers Taillights/Third Brake/Markers
Piano Black Rear Oval/Tailgate Handle

Bluto Build Installations Planned:

S&B Cold Air Intake
Linvernois Tune
Air Design Front Air Dam
Air Design Cab Spoiler

I like it.. i like it a lot!
Did you consider the EGR flares at all?
The exposed pocket holes actually look good on your truck.
Is the 3rd brake light tinted/part of BAP, or ebay special?

Very inspirational.
Kinda reminds me of @CARBON_MAV

Thanks, I definitely got my concept as well as tips from the builds you mentioned, also a few others in the truck club. I did look very hard at the EGR flares. My preference would ultimately be non-pocketed flares, but I ended up going with the Bushwhackers since they are a tad wider and also preferred their overall shape better.

The third brake tint is an Amazon find, as well as the tail lights and front marker lights. All are hard plastic covers with adhesion backing, I didn’t want to mess with films.

Very cool mods, flares look better than I thought they would.
I don't hate the fender flares.
I thought I would. I kinda like this look on a dark colored Mav.

For never wrenching on any of your cars\Trucks, you went all in!

Looks really nice! I was too cheap to order the Alto Blue :) so I got the no charge A51.

The Bushwhacker flares have moderate level of effort, but depends on which one you buy. The Ford Accessories set is textured finish set which comes fully assembled (stainless rivets and rubber gasket lining pre-installed) you just pop off existing wheel well fasteners and start installing. I went with the smooth finish set, just in case I ever want to paint them, which comes with loose gasket lining and stainless hardware (which I swapped out with black button heads). The holes of the flares line up with the factory locations for the most part, I did use a floor jack with light pressure on them to help me position. I spent a few hours in total.

Man ... i can't help but to keep coming back to this thread.
The new Cross Climate 2 tires themselves look killer on those wheels.
I had seen them on Mave-Rick's post too ... need to see how they last as
they cost some serious money. For the love of the look...i just might do it!

I think "Bluto" should have a cousin down here in GA.
Maybe a "BluTeau" 'cause it sounds as bougie as the alto blue looks :)

So many wants ... so little time .... even less money ... <sigh>

With 21x9's and spacers ... any rubbing anywhere or any needed trimming?
